Week 4 Reflection:
I think that overall this was a good project, and I wouldn't say this has helped me become more creative...but it has helped a little bit because it has opened my perspective range a little bit to see things differently. Like in my paint picture, I normally would have just gotten really close to it and taken a picture, but instead I tried a bunch of different views that captured the paint best. The hardest part about this project though was after posting about thirteen things I am grateful for it started to get a little harder having to think of things I am grateful for, but it helped me focus a lot more on having to think about that. The most valuable part about this project most definitely had to be the fact that every ones pictures were so different from each others, and it helped me get a better understanding of who people really are, and what they love. I would recommend this project to other students, but only those who would actually take it seriously and enjoy doing it...because the project is pointless if you don't actually take it seriously. If I were to do a 20: One Grateful project though I would have the theme be Joy, because the smallest things in life can bring someone joy and even things you wouldn't expect. Overall though I had a fun time doing this project.

Day 20:
Today is the last day of posting a picture everyday, and this is my favorite photo I have probably ever taken...and without my camera I wouldn't have been able to take this photo, or any photo I have ever taken that I love.

Day 19:
I really don't like summer because of the heat, but I love being able to go out on the boat with my friends and family. My friend Zoie, A.J, John, and I are all on this two person tube messing around, and Brian (the boat driver) did donuts and took us right through it...we all flew off the tube and also went flying into the air, it was so scary but so exciting at the same time. Nothing can compare to a day like this :)

Day 18:
I had the best time at the fair with my niece, she is the funniest person in the world...and the expressions on her face during the tea cup ride was absolutely priceless, she kept trying to spin it but wasn't strong enough to so she yelled at me to and the look at her face was one to remember when it started spinning fast. I love her so much :)

Day 17:
My oldest brother Grady and his daughter are two of the biggest characters you would ever meet. They are so alike in so many ways and it makes it that much better to be around them. I always have a smile on my face when im with them...I couldn't ask for anyone better to be in my life than these two people :)

Week 3 Reflection:
It has been really fun being able to see what other people find meaningful to them and it really helps you get a better understanding of who they are I think. This project has definitely been one that I will remember in the future. It has really helped me get a better hold onto what I love and cherish in life, even the little things :)

Day 16:
This is a years worth of paint built up that after every painting the artist would put all the left over paint into this clump. I think it's really interesting how an artist would save all that up. It reminds me that anyone can have so much that happens to them over a year, and making memories of them is just another great way to remember things you have accomplished...just like what this painter did, saved up all his extra paint to remind him of all he accomplished over the year :)

Day 15:
Leo is on the nicest, cutest, and charming cat I have ever seen. My niece will sit on top of him and he just lets it happen, or she will grab on to his tail and pretend that its her leash for the cat :) Leo is so adorable, and im glad my niece has an animal that she can play around with since her little brother is old enough yet :)

Day 14:
One of the best drinks I have ever had in my life, a prickle peach lemonade :) From San Diego Old Town, which is one of the coolest places I've been to also, with how everything is set up. Definitely a place ill go back to...but mostly for the drink :)

Day 13:
I love the look that go-pros give when you take a picture, the curve the picture gets is just so pretty :) And the beach is always one of my favorite places to go and relax or just have fun with family and friends :)

Day 12:
My brothers first started slack lining over summer, and they brought me out one time to take pictures of them doing it. After awhile they had me try it, and it was one of the most exciting feelings ever...kinda like the feeling of going down a big drop on a roller coaster, having to balance yourself on a one inch line and walk across it as it wobbles is so hard...but so fun :) Now me and my brothers all have something we can go out and enjoy together, and im so happy for that :)

Week Two Reflection:
So far it's is going great and each week I do this it helps me become more thankful for what I have. It is also helping me learn different camera techniques and take photos of things I never would have tried to take photos of. It is really expanding my views of photography :)

Day 11:
My brother Bradley is always a character and making family trips a blast. Life really wouldn't be the same without him, even though he can drive me to the point of insanity sometimes. He is an amazing person who is always trying to look on the bright side of things and make people laugh, whether he wants to admit that or not. He is an outstanding person and brother.

Day 10:
One of my favorite views in the world to see is this one...Going up the ski lift at Homewood is one of the greatest things ever, the lift is really steep...but its worth it for the amazing view of the lake. One of my favorite places to be, I love the cold, snow, and the amazing feeling of snowboarding down the hill :)

Day 9:
I am so proud of my brother for getting over every obstacle he faced in his life, and having the courage to do something he knew would be hard for him with a wife and two kids...and that was join the Navy, I couldn't have a better role model to look up to for everything he has accomplished in his life, and I am so proud to call him my brother :)

Day 8:
San Diego was one of the most amazing places I have ever been, from all the beaches to the stores, and old town...it's a gorgeous place. And the views you can find are spectacular, I will always go back to this place whenever I have the chance :)

Reflection 1:
So far I am really enjoying this blog and posting a picture everyday, because it is forcing me to take a different picture everyday for something I am grateful for...It's helping me become a better photographer, because before I wouldn't go out and take a new picture everyday...but now I am, and it's going great :)

Day 7:
Upper Park is one of my favorite places to go because there is so much you can do, and it is always a beautiful and peaceful place to just lay back and relax. There is also plenty of places where my brothers, friends, and I can go swim or boulder. Upper Park is an amazing place.

Day 6:
The sunset is always my favorite thing to watch at the end of the day, because each day its different in its colors or where the clouds are

Day 5:
This dog, Zoey, has been in my life since I was five years old. And even though she has gotten really old, and she is more gray looking now.. I will always remember her as that scared little puppy the first day she was with us, who grew into a cheerful, loving, playful, amazing dog :)

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

Day 4:
Nature is always something that I will love, and be able to just enjoy for free...Just going through the park or sitting in my back yard at home instantly relaxes me. Nature will always be there :)

Day 3:
So proud of my nephew for staying strong and not giving up for the three weeks he was in the nicu. Also, I am so proud of his mom for staying strong through it  all when my brother was gone for it all on deployment..at least he got the Red Cross to fly him out for a few days to be there for his wife and new born son. One of the strongest families I know, and I am proud to be apart of their lives.

Monday, May 6, 2013

Day 2:
Through everything he has been through in his life, and missed out on because of multiple things
that kept happening to him...he has helped me realize and become more fortunate for the little things in my life that I would usually take for granted, and everyday I spend with him is an amazing one and one to remember. I am so happy to have him in my life :)

Day 1:
Without this dog Stumps, my little niece would have been servilely injured. If it wasn't for her running inside and barking her head off until we realized why she kept running towards the door then back to us. So for that, I am grateful for this dog.

Excited to try something new and start posting pictures to share with the world, through a class project called "20: One Grateful" that I am doing in my photography class. This project is made to help us realize what is really grateful in our lives and how to cherish the little moments that we have. We are posting a different picture everyday starting May 3rd to May 31st...and I can not wait to get started and really realize and find out what means the most to me in life.
